Palmer Command Productions and Broadcast Network News arrived in Washington DC at 8:00 AM (EST), and the production crew is making ready for Police Week. 324 fallen Law Enforcement Officers were honored during candlelight vigil at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial today where Attorney General Eric Holder lead the lighting of the candles.

One-hundred sixteen officers died in the line of duty in 2009, the lowest number since 1950.  The monument in Judiciary Square holds the names of 18,983 officers who have died in the line of duty throughout US history from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, US territories, and federal law enforcement and military police agencies.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano participated in the tribute to officers and their families, and praised officials for their excellent service.
